Fresh Beat!

One of Lexi's friends in dance class loves the Fresh Beat Band as well.  This little girl's mom told me about the Fresh Beat Band tour coming to Dallas in May and she had the secret code to buy tickets early!  So, Jason and I talked about it and decided to buy 3 tickets.  We haven't told her yet because she won't realize how far away May is.  But, tonight as we watched the Fresh Beat Band play, I asked if she wanted to be one of those people in the audience.  Her reply, "No, I want to still be Lexi."  She doesn't understand it now, but on May 6th Lexi will be one of those people and we know she will LOVE it!!

kindergarten boxcar parade

Well, everyone was healthy until Lexi got the flu and I got pneumonia.  Needless to say, it's been a rough week...BUT, we are better again and for the most part back to normal.  Jason, Lexi and I all worked together on this and we think it turned out great!  All the boxcars were unique and wonderful!  The parade was wonderful...it should have been televised!!

daddy/daughter dance

I have some catching up to do on the blog, but I wanted to write tonight while my feelings and emotions are raw... About a month ago we received an email about the daddy/daughter dance tonight.  Jason attached the flyer and forwarded it to me saying, "I have to work."  I frowned and moved on.  I didn't think much about it until the other day.  I had an "a-ha" moment and asked Jason if we could ask his dad so Lexi wouldn't miss out on the ball.  Jason called Kevin the next day and I received a text from Jason right after saying, "My dad would be happy to take Lexi."  I was delighted and Lexi was on cloud 9 when I told her Paw Paw wanted to take her to the ball (side note...we didn't tell Lexi about the ball because we didn't think she was going to be able to attend since Jason was out of town). The next day Jason left work early and met us at the mall for a little ball dress shopping.  Lexi danced around the dressing room in about 8 diff...
