Party of Three

Yesterday, Lexi asked, "Mom, you know what I am going to call you today?"  I asked, "What?"  She said, "Beautiful Mommy."  Can this girl melt my heart?  Yes.

Oh where to begin.  This NYE was the best one I've had in a long time.  Kim, Jeff and the boys arrived in Dallas on the 30th.  We had a low key evening at home to prepare for the celebration of beginning a new year.  On the 31st Jason had to go to work, I took Lexi to Mimi and PawPaw's and the Lee's, me and Chip and Sarah all met for an early dinner at Manny's.  We enjoyed our dinner and then headed to the Stars game where Chip was honored as the "Hero of the game."  It was A-MAZING!  Chip was dressed in his formal Army attire and looked so handsome.  He was on the ice during the National Anthem and during the game the announcer narrated a quick biography of his service and achievements.  I don't have words to describe how magical that was to watch Chip being honored in front of a sell out crowd.  During and after the game, a TON of people stopped to shake his hand, thank him, and honor him. The laundry chore can be fun with this little bug!

Howdy!  Yes, it has been too long.  I was doing so well...what happened?  Life I guess.  I will do better about blogging in 2012.  I mean, it is one of my resolutions so it has to happen, right? This Christmas was wonderful as usual.  Another 'as usual' for Christmas...I didn't take any pictures.  Really?  Yes, really.  I don't know what is wrong with me!  I really need to get a point and shoot camera so I can take photos inside without worrying about the perfect light, props, etc.  Hmmm...maybe Jason will take this as a birthday present hint.  Ok, I digress... Christmas 2011 was wonderful!  It went by in a flash.  On December 22nd, Uncle Jack and Aunt Sue flew into Houston.  On the 23rd, they rode with my mom and sister to Dallas to meet baby Preston.  On the 24th they all left and drove back to Houston.  Later in the afternoon on the 24th, Lexi, Jason and I piled in the car with gifts and headed t...
